Minnesota PERA is committed to preserving your privacy and security. Our agency retrieves minimal information from users in order to provide our programs and services.

Data Disclosure

Our agency does not sell, rent or publish any of our member's personal or private information. We do not reveal specific information about members or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use.

Use of Third Party Cookies

Our communications service provider, govDelivery, uses third party cookies to track open rates of emails sent on PERA’s behalf. As part of the sign up process to receive email from PERA, govDelivery will provide their current statement about cookie use prior to signup completion.

Web Analytic Data

Minnesota PERA uses website analytics to help us manage our website and better serve our members and employers. This information is used to improve website content and identify system performance or problem areas. 
 

Data Practices

Minnesota Data Practices Act

Under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (Minnesota Statutes, chapter 13), public data is available to any member of the public, including but not limited to individual people, the media, companies, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies. The Data Practices Act presumes that all government data are public unless a state or federal law says the data are not public.

Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, with respect to data collected and maintained on members, survivors and beneficiaries by statewide retirement systems that is classified as public data in accordance with subdivision 2, those retirement systems may be only
required to disclose name, gross pension, and type of benefit awarded, except as required by sections 13.03, subdivisions 4 and 6; and 13.05, subdivisions 4 and 9.
