The Income Verification Report is a pension award letter. You can use it to verify or show proof of any payments you receive from PERA, as your benefit payment is considered income.
The Income Verification Report is printed on PERA’s letterhead, dated with the current month, and signed by the Pension Services manager as the official acknowledgement that PERA issued the payment to you.
You can use this report as proof of income for a mortgage, loan, Social Security, public assistance, or other financial purposes. You can also provide the report to the banking institution, government agency, or other entities requesting a pension award letter.
Information on the Report
Information provided on the income verification report includes:
Member name
Gross monthly payment
Benefits paid during the last calendar year
Projected income for the current calendar year
Benefits paid from January 1 to the present
Benefit effective date
Future calendar year amounts are available after January 1.
Download the Report
You can download your Income Verification Report on demand from your myPERA account. Click on the Payment information menu bar and then choose Income Verification. Select Download to view and print the Income Verification Report.
