DCP Elected Officials
Local governments and school districts in Minnesota may extend Social Security coverage to their eligible governing body elected officials by conducting a divided or majority vote referendum under PERA's direction.
To conduct a Social Security referendum for DCP elected officials, please contact PERA’s Eligibility Team at eligibility@mnpera.org.
Social Security coverage may be retroactive up to five years from the date PERA submits the completed Section 218 Agreement modification to Social Security.
