Employer education offers payroll, human resources, and business managers an opportunity to learn and review PERA’s membership and reporting requirements. Attendees are able to ask questions and receive answers in real time at the end of each session during our Q & A session to provide clarification or further discussion as needed.

PERA webinars are FREE to attend, but you must register in advance to access each session.

Guide to Reporting Salary

As a PERA-covered employer, you are responsible for accurate and timely reporting of your employees’ payroll information by completing a Salary Deduction Report (SDR) each pay period.

This brand-new program will cover contribution reporting in detail, including: a comprehensive overview of the SDR; how to make a payment for employer and employee contributions; and what actions to take once both the SDR and payment has been submitted.

2024 Legislative Update

The 2024 Pension and Retirement Policy and Supplemental Budget Bill was signed into law on May 15. This program will highlight the impact this bill will have on the administration of PERA benefits, and will help guide employers on what actions to take.

What does it cover?

This program will cover legislative changes related to:

– Defined Contribution Plan (DCP) election rules

– Correctional Plan rates

– The definition of police officers and firefighters for P&F Plan eligibility

Understanding ERIS

The Employer Reporting and Information System (ERIS) is a web-based tool that employers use to complete their PERA reporting tasks. This brand-new program focuses in on a highly requested topic—eligibility. What qualifies an employee for PERA membership? What excludes them? And which PERA plan should they be enrolled in? This free webinar training will answer all those questions and more.
