Feedback on SVF Plan Legislation

PERA is now soliciting feedback and comments on the Statewide Volunteer Firefighter (SVF) Plan legislation passed during the 2023 session.

Specifically, PERA is looking for feedback and comments related to Chapter 45 – House File 3100, Article 6, section 2, which:

establishes an incentive program,
requires the addition of a defined contribution plan, and
allows for input on other changes to encourage fire departments to join the SVF Plan.
