2024 Financial Reports Now Available

PERA is pleased to announce that PERA’s 2024 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) are now available on our Financial Reports page.

PERA’s ACFR provides financial, investment, actuarial, statistical, and other related information about PERA and the pension plans it administers. The PAFR provides a summary of the ACFR, highlighting the financial statements, membership information, contribution rates, and investment performance.

Overall, the financial condition of PERA improved during fiscal year 2024. PERA’s fiduciary net position increased over $3.9 billion, or 9.7%, from $39.8 billion as of June 30, 2023 to $43.6 billion as of June 30, 2024. The investment rate of return, net of investment management fees and the effects of any profit-sharing arrangements, was 12.3% in 2024 for the General Employees Plan, Police & Fire Plan, and Correctional Plan. This rate of return is higher than the assumed rate of return of 7% used in the annual actuarial valuations for the Combined Funds. For the SVF Plan, the investment rate of return, net of fees, was 11.8% in 2024. This rate of return is higher than the assumed rate of return of 6%.
